armasuisse, the Procurement and Technology Center of the Federal Department of Defence, Civil Protection and Sport DDPS, is responsible for the research, development, evaluation, procurement, maintenance and liquidation of equipment and infrastructure for the armed forces and other customers.
swisstopo is the federal geo-information center. As competence center for geology and central coordination unit for the Swiss Geological Survey, it provides its customers with geological data and information.
The competence sector Science + Technology is the competence center for science and technology management within the DDPS. Among other things, its tasks include research as well as the development and expansion of innovative research networks.
The evaluation and procurement of systems and equipment for the armed forces and other customers are handled by the competence sectors "Command and Control + Reconnaissance Systems", "Aeronautical Systems", "Land Systems", and "Purchasing and Cooperations".
armasuisse Real Estate, the center of competence for real estate within the DDPS, is responsible for the overall management of 24,000 hectares of property and 24,000 objects for the Federal Department of Defence, Civil Protection and Sport DDPS.
