Florian Schütz, Director of the NCSC, to visit cybertech conferences in Tokyo and Osaka
Bern, 01.09.2025 — The Director of the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), Florian Schütz, will be attending this year's cybertech conferences in Osaka and Tokyo. During his visit to Japan from 1 to 4 September, he will take part in various events, panels and bilateral talks with representatives from industry and government.
As part of his visit to Japan from 1 to 4 September, Florian Schütz, Director of the National Cyber Security Centre, will attend the Global Financial Cyber Resilience Forum in Osaka. He will then travel on to Tokyo, where he will take part in a discussion on the topic of ‘Cyber for National Level’ at Cybertech 2025. He will also take part in a round table organised by Japan's Financial Services Agency (FSA). The round table brings together regulators and administrative units from the field of cybersecurity and focuses on the cyber resilience of financial systems.
Bilateral talks with representatives from industry and administration
During his stay, various bilateral talks with representatives from Japanese industry and government are also planned. These include meetings with the National Centre of Incident Readiness and Strategy for Cybersecurity (NISC), the Japanese Computer Emergency Response Team (JP/CERT) and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI).
The aim of these talks is to exchange information on current cyberthreats, joint strategies and the promotion of international cooperation in the field of cybersecurity.
Strengthening cooperation
Florian Schütz's visit underscores the importance of close cooperation between Switzerland and Japan in cybersecurity and strengthens bilateral relations in this area.
