National Armaments Director holds work discussions with the French Directorate General of Armament (DGA) in Paris
Bern, 10.10.2025 — National Armaments Director Urs Loher travelled to Paris from 9-10 October 2025 to hold bilateral discussions with the French Directorate General of Armament (DGA). The discussions focused on current defence policy developments as well as bilateral cooperation.
National Armaments Director Urs Loher held work discussions with his counterparts from the French Directorate General of Armament (DGA) on 10 October 2025 in Paris. The National Armaments Director was accompanied by Deputy National Armaments Director Thomas Rothacher as well as other representatives from the Federal Office for Defence Procurement armasuisse.
The talks focused on current security and defence policy developments, the exchange of experiences in selected skill areas as well as future cooperation possibilities. Switzerland informed France about the armament policy strategy passed by the Federal Council in June 2025, while it received an overview of the national developments in France.
