Ukraine: Switzerland delivers fire-fighting and rubble removal equipment worth over CHF 5 million
Bern, 7.10.2022 - Switzerland is making a new delivery of material to Ukraine. At the request of the Ukrainian authorities, it will provide equipment to fight fires, clean contaminated water and remove debris and rubble. The Federal Department of Defence, Civil Protection and Sport (DDPS) and the city of Basel donated the equipment, worth CHF 5.2 million in total. The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), part of the FDFA, will finance and organise the transport of the goods. The first two lorries left Switzerland today.
